Passenger Information

We provide free, safe, door to door rides to wherever you need to go in Sausalito! Living here can be both beautiful and difficult - public transit can be tough to access and our hills are often dangerous to walk. Our C.A.R.S.S. drivers are local volunteers that want to give you the freedom of getting a ride when you want one, without having to wait. Passengers must be age 60+ or younger with a disability.

Schedule and Availability

  1. Rides are available from 10AM to 2PM Monday through Friday

  2. Ride requests must be scheduled by 5PM the previous business day

  3. Same day ride requests are possible depending on our schedule

  4. Maximum four one way trips per day

Community Events

C.A.R.S.S. hosts monthly luncheon events for volunteers and passengers to promote fun and celebrate our community in Sausalito.

Lunches take place at local Sausalito restaurants that have agreed to allow our residents to pay with separate checks. We’ve even had some lunches at Smitty’s, where we’ve taken over the juke-box machine to play oldies and have some real fun!

Our C.A.R.S.S. program is managed by Sausalito Village, an organization focused on promoting friendship and independence for the senior residents of Sausalito. To learn more about Sausalito village and their events, please Click Here.
