CARSS hosts monthly luncheon events for Drivers and Riders to celebrate friendship and community in Sausalito. We are also closely related to Sausalito Village who hosts a large variety of events for seniors. If you are interested in learning more about Sausalito Village, please Click Here.

Lunch About Town

Monthly, CARSS Riders and Drivers, along with Sausalito Village Members and Volunteers, are invited to meet for lunch at a different local restaurant. No transportation? CARSS will get you there!

The restaurants have agreed to provide separate checks so diners can enjoy as much or as little as they would like. This is a wonderful opportunity to try a new place to dine, to enjoy the company of other locals and to get out and meet old friends or make new ones.

Rider and Volunteer Appreciation

Words cannot always express the depth of what our volunteers do for the community. A smile to a nervous Rider or a warm conversation in the car - our Drivers enable and encourage our Riders to live more independently and remain connected to their community. Our CARSS Drivers are invited to volunteer appreciation events combined with Sausalito Village. In the past, these have included an afternoon cocktail party on Five Star Yacht and this year will include reserved tables at Jazz by the Bay.

Several times a year, we host events that bring together the Drivers and Riders in a group social atmosphere including a holiday sing-a-long party, a fun filled Sausalito 4th of July parade, special Lunch About Town at Smitty's and an annual barbecue hosted by the Sausalito Lions Club.
