C.A.R.S.S. Events

CARSS hosts monthly luncheon events for volunteers and passengers to celebrate friendship and community in Sausalito. We are also closely related to Sausalito Village who hosts a large variety of events for seniors. If you are interested in learning more about Sausalito Village, please Click Here.

Lunch About Town

Every month, C.A.R.S.S. Riders and Drivers are invited to meet for lunch at a different local restaurant.  No transportation?  C.A.R.S.S. will get you there!

The restaurants have agreed to provide separate checks so diners can enjoy as much or as little as they would like. This is a wonderful opportunity to try a new place to dine, to enjoy the company of other locals and to get out and meet old friends or make new ones.

Driver Training and Appreciation

Words can not always express what our volunteers do for the community. A smile to a nervous rider, a warm conversation in the car or a helping hand with local events - volunteers enable and encourage Sausalito to live independently. C.A.R.S.S. began putting on events as a way to connect volunteers and passengers while celebrating our fantastic community.

Volunteers are invited to attend our monthly Lunch About Town events as well as our driver training events. Driver training is a way to touch base on current safety topics while having a little fun.  We’ve enjoyed a number of events including a barbeque hosted by the Lions Club, a holiday sing-a-long, a fun filled Sausalito 4th of July parade and a lunch at Sushi Ran! We thank our volunteers and passengers for their commitment to the community.
